WHAT IS REIKI?

The word Reiki (pronounce ray-key) is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy".  So, Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." 

 

Reiki is administered by placing the hands on or above the body.  Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress.  If one's "life force energy" is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. 

 

The ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master which allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.  

 

THE REIKI SESSION

I am a Reiki Master, which indicates my level of training in Reiki.   However, when I am facilitating a healing session I use many forms of energy healing from my skill set.  The intention in the session is to tune-in to the manner in which the clients energy is "misbehaving".  Sometimes the energy feels stuck, sometimes it is missing, sometimes it is like a staccato beat, etc.  Through my hands I represent to one's system the balanced way of flow and remind it of such through placing my hands on or above various areas of the body.  I am stimulating the energy field of the body so that it can better heal and support itself.

 

The client remains fully clothed and receptively quiet during the session.  

 

REIKI SESSIONS CAN BE CONDUCTED FROM LONG DISTANCE AS WELL!
